More J&H Rehersal

The afternoon was a beautiful, clear, sunny, and warm day. It was so fun to be outside and also to enjoy the great outdoor setting that Jared and Heidi had chosen for the site of their wedding.
Just relaxing and awaiting directions
M offered to climb the tree, so they could hang a sheet as a backdrop for the ceremony.
It was fun to see our kids with so many of their friends from high school.
A practice run...
Back at the church for the groom's supper. The kids certainly had fun playing. Thanks Margarethe for all the toys that you brought for K&E to enjoy while in MN!
Gifts from the bridal couple
Enjoying the miracle baby.
Weddings are such a fun time of bringing family together! Thanks to all who made the evening such a great time of joy!

Groom's Supper

We traveled to MN last week for the wedding of our youngest son. Flying with M&B and their little girls was interesting, and we were thankful that everything went so well during the trip.
On Friday evening, after several hours in the kitchen preparing food for the supper, Jim and I left for the Wall Lake where the outdoor wedding was to be held.
While the wedding party was at the lake for the rehersal, Great Aunt Rebekah entertained K.

Time with the boys

This past weekend, we were able to visit our sons and their families. It is so fun to see them growing!
This little boy is certainly a husky fellow!
And it is so fun to see those smiles and hear his "happy sounds."

Happy Father's Day

I am so blessed to have godly parents--and on this special day, I celebrate my father.
My father has always been an example of strength and good character; a hard worker and a faithful provider for our family. His love of laughter and music have always been an inspiration to me. And his love of God's Word and the hope of heaven have blessed me with an inheritance that is more wonderful than anything that money could buy. I love you, Dad. Happy Father's Day.
I also honor my dear husband, the father of our four wonderful sons. Thank you for being the godly example that you are for our children. And now as they begin their own families, may they emulate your example in continuing to daily look to their Heavenly Father for wisdom, strength and guidance.
I love you Jim, Happy Father's Day

A&R wedding

The wedding reception was held in this beautiful Arboratum. The Jacaranda trees were in full bloom, continuing the purple tones that we saw at the wedding celebration.
Guests were treated to hors d'oeuvres in several little coves in that area of the park while the wedding party took pictures in a different area.

Peacocks were in abandance throughout the park. These kids had so much fun watching the birds strutting around.

Supper was delicious, including a roasted pig!
Youngest brother Tommy passed the evening absorbed in Calvin and Hobbes!
Friend Dorothy caught the bridal bouquet!
