Two Weeks ago! (wedding prep)

Our Saturday morning began with a delicious family brunch hosted by Les & LeAnn. These friends went beyond the call of friendship in not only housing several of our family members, but also opening up their home as a welcoming spot for all of us coming and going during the week (and all of this during a busy week for them with a family member ill and hospitalized!). Thanks a million, dear friends, you are the greatest!
Time for a quick family pic before getting dressed for the wedding and leaving for the lake.
Three brothers in the back seat of the car...they were reminded of riding together in the back of our small Suzuki jeep in Africa. (Jared usually sat on mom's lap in the front seat) We still marvel at how all six of us fit into that tiny car, together with our luggage and supplies!
the setting for the wedding and reception
The decorating crew was hard at work when we arrived at the pavilion
the steps leading up to the reception hall
the bride and her future father-in-law
The little flowergirl loved her dress!
...and blue-painted toenails!
While some people were taking pictures, or getting dressed, or decorating, others just sat around visiting...
...or played games!
It's hard work to be a bride! (yes, she did wear her cowboy boots for the wedding!)
