We had our first significant rainfall in the past month, so he had to wait until Saturday afternoon to wash and polish the cars! The other big news of the weekend was the appearance of a family of possums! (sorry, no pictures yet...) This week we found out that our fair city is well-known for it's rat and possum population. Not exactly the kind of news that we wanted to know...
We had a wonderful surprise this afternoon! We got a call from our friend Gary Thompson (he and Jim share an aunt and uncle and several cousins--so they are kind of related). He was in our area in a business trip, so he stopped by on his way to San Diego. We had a great visit and he told us all the news from Fergus Falls. It was nice that he had the time and could spend several hours with us. We love it when our friends and family stop by!

I knew Gary was excited to come see you when he asked Mom for your number, but I hadn't realized he'd be there so soon! What a fun surprise! I'm sorry to hear about the rat and possum population, that's too bad!!! I am looking forward to seeing pictures, though! I bet there will be a good story to go with them!
