He's here!

Our grandson, Jayden James, was born this evening after 11PM by C-section. He weighed in at 8lbs 9oz, length of 21inches. We are so proud to welcome this little one into the world!
Jamie, the proud father! (Krista was very tired, but doing fine! We are so proud of her!)
More pictures to follow in the days ahead...

Congratulations! Isn't this role of grandparenting great!!...all you have to do is love, cuddle, and when the time comes play with him! No labor...just letting the love grow for your grandson! He looks like his proud and happy father! Very handsome! Thanks, Krista, for all you did to get Jayden to join the family! Much joy to you all!

Bonjour aux grandparents! Felicitations mes amis! Vous avez un tres beau petit fils! Believe it or not, this is the first time I have ever even seen what a blog is, much less registered a comment. (Yes, I do date from the prehistoric, or precomputer, age) Very nice job, Marilyn. I enjoyed all your photos and recap of activities and visitors. I must admit being envious of the latter. No one happens to pass through North Dakota en route to Hawaii! We are very happy for you both, for Jamie and Krista, and for the entire Erickson clan. How wonderful that you and Jim live close enough to watch you grandson grow up. A privilege denied to many. Aura Lee is enjoying Boston U. For her spring break she flew to Seattle and visited my mother, who is now in a private home nursing care facility, and my sister and family. She hadn't seen them for 5 years. We've still got some snow on the ground and had some new flakes this weekend. But sprng is struggling to manifest itself. The track runners, including Kaia and David, are out doing their jogs and sprints, a sure sign of spring. We love you! Marybeth & Nate
