It seems unreal to think that two weeks ago we were just packing to leave for our son's wedding! The days went by so quickly, but we are left with wonderful memories.
We had the joy of flying with our daughter-in-law and this sweet little girl! (She loves "seeing the baby in the camera!") K was a very good traveler. And, she had a very pleasant nature, in spite of the fact that she suffered alot from seasonal allergies due to all the blossoming trees.
Of course, K's grandparents loved all the extra time they got to spend with her...
...and this great grandmother just loved holding her first great granddaughter every chance she had! There were many small details that came together to make the day perfect.
Even though the day before had been rainy, the weather was beautiful and perfect on the day of the wedding.
However, there were gusts of wind at times, and Heidi (Jared too, when he wasn't in the pictures) was a great assistant to the photographer.
The bridal gown was exquisite...
the groom was ready...
the moment had arrived!
The pastor gave words of Godly wisdom to the couple, the vows were spoken, the rings were exchanged, and "two became one." The ceremony was lovely, and the reception was a time of joy and celebration...
a time when many friends and family members could come together and celebrate...
memories shared of times past, and the present moment.
Thanks to all our family and friends for making this day such a special time for Mark and Gina and for our whole family!
On Sunday morning, after a lovely brunch hosted by Gina's family and friends, the newlyweds opened gifts and cards.
They also read many of the "prescriptions" for a good marriage that were written. We pray the Lord's blessing on our children as the establish their home and begin their married life.
