A Perfect Ending

On Sunday afternoon, we took Margarethe down to Newport Beach. The morning started out cloudy and cool, but by afternoon the sun was out and it looked right for "time at the beach."

The tide was changing as we arrived...

The sound of the waves is always so soothing.
The day was a bit windy and the surf was up...
...but there were lots of people that thought the beach was a perfect place to be that afternoon.

Boat rental
A bit of foolishness... It was hard to leave the beauty of the ocean, but we travelled on...
Margarethe had not seen the Crystal Cathedral, so we stopped by there on our way home.
The gardens were lovely, and there were still some remnants of Easter lilies along the pathways.

Reflections of us
Since we arrived just before the evening service, we listened to the musicians (including that huge pipe organ) practicing for the upcoming service. The music was awesome! We stayed for part of the service and really enjoyed the worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus.
Our last meal together was at this cozy little cafe where we enjoyed delicious French Onion Soup and the best carrot-raisin bread in the world!
Thanks little sister for coming to visit! We are already looking forward to the next visit!

Thanks you for a great time in California! So good to be with you, visit, and see your home. We did alot those few days together! People at my job are amazed all I get to see and do! Was such a privelege to meet and hold my Grand-nephew and spend some time with his parents and uncle and aunt too. Jamie and Krista created a beautiful nursery for their son! Fun to visit Griffith Obervatory with you and M & B, meet Sammy and be able to enjoy the first delicious hamburgers on Micah's new grill! Thank you again for everything! Miss you.
