Sunscreen application...
Keeping track of the little ones... (there are lots of families and little ones that participate in this event). It is amazing to walk around and hear the stories of so many families whose lives have been changed by the birth (or death) of their premature infant. We found only one other family whose child had survived at 24weeks. Em truly is a miracle! This picture was taken against the sun so the quality is not the greatest, but it was so fun to think that a year ago, when Bec and I did this walk, Em was just a tiny infant. She had not even been out of the hospital for a month! (What were we thinking???) Here we are one year later, and marveling at how much Em has grown!
Time for some family pics
It was so nice for M to also have the time off from work so that the whole family could be at this event together!
These two were the youngest members of the group.
Off to a good start!
Around the second mile, we walked through this lovely park. We took a short bathroom break...stopped to admire the roses...
gave the kids some snacks and let them run around for a bit.
We enjoyed seeing some ducks swimming in the river.
We all finished the walk together! Even though it was a very windy day, we had a great time walking and talking along the way. Thanks to all who contributed to this event and also to the many friends that joined us on Saturday.

This was the back of the team shirt. We are so grateful to God that Em has been shown grace and is able to walk and is starting to talk. We are blessed!
